Meeting with a Palestinian family

During one of our patrols today on Shuhada Street, a Palestinian woman invited us to her home. She has several children, who are school-age. The woman and her daughters served us plums picked from their own yard, and Sprite. As we reclined on their sofa, they told us what their life had been like for the past while.
They live very close to a settlement, and told us that this weekend, some settlers scared their children by threatening to unleash a dog on them. They say that for them, violence from the settlers is nothing new.
The mother asked her name not to be used and did not want photos taken for fear of reprisals, but was ok with us sharing her story.
We gave them a business card and asked them to call us if or when the settlers or soldiers came to make trouble for them again.
